Mini Bookmarks & A Sale
Printer Woes
I’ve been busy, working on my store and trying to create mini bookmarks all morning. The website updates were easy. I still have a lot of new products that need to be added by the end of the year, but I’m making progress.
I already create laminated bookmarks sized 2.5x8”, which are considered wide. The standard size is 2x6”. I came across mini bookmarks the other day and thought it would be a good idea to add some to the store. It WAS a good idea. It still is. I’m just frustrated right now.
As you can see from the above picture, I had a little bit of a printing issue. Neither of my printers have 2x3.5” as a print option. They also don’t like it when I try to do custom sizes (it never works). The closest size I could find was 2.17 x 3.58”. I cut the cardstock to that size, stuck it in the printer, clicked print, and it still cut the bottom of the image off.
My solution? I ended up cutting the cardstock to 2.5 x 4” and setting the print size to 2.17 x 3.58” and for some reason, that worked. Of course, I had to cut the excess off, but I printed on both sides and everything lined up perfectly.
I only printed the test bookmark today. I plan on working on printing, laminating, and cutting them next week. I still haven’t decided if I want to add a tassel or not. We’ll see what happens.
End of Year Sale
I’m currently having an end of the year sale. The sale runs from November 24th until December 2nd. All products on my Official Website and on my Etsy shop are 25%.
