Hive Mind
I created a new abstract techno design January 31, 2026 that started with overlapping diamonds, circles, and an octagon on a black background. You can see below, in the gallery, the stages the design took before it was completed. Hive Mind was the perfect title: shared intelligence, collective consciousness.
Overlapping Diamonds - three-dimensionality and movement
Diamond Inside Diamond - the soul trapped between two opposing forces
Circles - timelessness
Dot (center of circles) - consciousness
Octagon - bridges gap between the finite and infinite.
Lines - multiple roads crossing each other
Black - darkness and mystery
Faded Khaki - passage of time
An octagon bridges the gap between the finite (having limits and bounds) and the infinite (limitless) has eight sides. The number eight (8) is similar in shape to the infinity symbols (∞) but flipped.
There are also eight dots on the octagon. These dots are placed on double lines (roads) denoting a blockade.
I’ll be working the rest of this week on getting products with this design added to the official store.
